12-Month Hardware Protection With a Clear Resolution Process
The iKAGOO 1-Year Warranty for Automotive Electronics provides structured hardware protection for eligible vehicle-specific digital instrument clusters, OEM-style Android head units and dual-screen cockpit upgrades.
Verified manufacturing or hardware faults are reviewed through product identification, installation evidence, remote diagnosis and the most appropriate parts, repair, replacement or refund route.
Warranty overview: this page explains the iKAGOO support process in buyer-friendly form. Complete coverage, exclusions, shipping responsibilities, safety rules, claim evidence, repair and replacement terms are governed by the official iKAGOO Warranty Policy , subject to the applicable order terms and mandatory consumer law.
Safety-Critical Display Faults and Original Factory Parts
Automotive displays are different from ordinary consumer electronics. Critical vehicle information must remain reliable, and the original factory system may be needed for safe restoration and comparison testing.
Stop Relying on a Safety-Critical Fault
If vehicle speed, gear position, fuel level, coolant temperature, turn signals, high beams, braking, ABS, airbag or other critical warning information is incorrect or missing, stop relying on the upgraded device and stop driving when it is safe to do so.
Where safely and technically possible, restore the original factory cluster or display system before further vehicle use, then contact iKAGOO with clear video and comparison evidence.
Keep the Original Factory Parts
Do not discard, sell, damage or irreversibly modify original vehicle parts until installation and all supported functions have remained stable.
- Original cluster, head unit, screen or circuit board
- Factory buzzer, brackets, trim, screws and fasteners
- Factory wiring, optical-fibre components and control modules
- Original camera, amplifier, gateway or related hardware
Missing factory parts may limit restoration, comparison testing and the warranty remedies that can reasonably be provided.

IF iKAGOO CONFIRMED COMPATIBILITY AND WE WERE WRONG
When iKAGOO confirms before purchase that a product is compatible, the customer provides accurate vehicle information, reports the installation failure within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery and cooperates with reasonable troubleshooting, iKAGOO will first try every reasonable technical solution.
If no adapter, wiring correction, configuration, software, replacement accessory or alternative solution can make the product compatible—and iKAGOO confirms that our original compatibility assessment was incorrect— the following protection applies:
The customer is not required to pay for an international return of the incompatible product.
The customer may keep, dispose of or otherwise handle the product at their own discretion.
iKAGOO refunds the eligible product purchase price to the original payment method.
- iKAGOO confirmed compatibility before the customer placed the order.
- The customer supplied accurate and complete vehicle information, photographs and original configuration details.
- The installation failure was reported within 7 calendar days of the confirmed delivery date.
- The customer cooperated with requested photos, videos, wiring checks, settings and reasonable troubleshooting.
- The problem was not caused by incorrect installation, cut or modified wiring, unsupported software, vehicle damage or inaccurate customer information.
- No reasonable adapter, configuration, software, wiring correction, accessory or replacement solution can resolve the mismatch.
- iKAGOO confirms that its original compatibility assessment was incorrect.
Refund boundary: this special remedy refunds the eligible product purchase price. Original shipping charges, optional DDP charges, customs duties, VAT, local taxes, payment-provider costs, installation labor and other third-party charges are not included unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Claims reported after 7 calendar days are reviewed through the standard warranty and support process.
What Products Are Covered by the iKAGOO Automotive Electronics Warranty?
Coverage applies to eligible products purchased directly from iKAGOO, subject to the product page, order confirmation and the verified cause of the reported fault.
Vehicle-Specific Digital Instrument Clusters
Eligible digital cluster hardware, included connection components and supported vehicle-specific display functions are reviewed under the applicable warranty conditions.
OEM-Style Android Head Units
Eligible main units, displays, touch panels, supplied harnesses and included accessories are covered when a verified manufacturing or hardware defect is confirmed.
Dual-Screen Cockpit Systems
Eligible main displays, secondary displays, control hardware and included vehicle-specific connection components are reviewed as a coordinated product system.
What the iKAGOO 12-Month Hardware Warranty Covers
Coverage is determined by the verified cause of the problem—not only by the symptom shown in a photograph or video.
Verified Hardware or Manufacturing Defects
- Verified manufacturing defects in the main board, display or touch panel.
- Hardware failure under normal vehicle voltage and the recommended wiring method.
- Verified manufacturing defects in included wiring harnesses, connectors or supplied accessories.
- Display or touch failure not caused by impact, pressure, liquid or incorrect installation.
- Firmware stabilization assistance and applicable patches where available for the supplied hardware.
- Approved replacement parts, warranty repair or an appropriate replacement product where the verified case requires it.
Installation, Modification and External Damage
- Cut, spliced, modified or incorrectly connected wiring.
- Reversed polarity, incorrect voltage, poor grounding or unsupported adapters.
- Cracked screens, bent pins, broken brackets, stripped screws or impact damage.
- Liquid ingress, corrosion, excessive heat or evidence of a short circuit.
- Third-party firmware, rooting, unauthorized flashing or unauthorized repair.
- Normal cosmetic wear, scratches, adhesives, tapes and consumable installation materials.
- Problems caused by incomplete or inaccurate vehicle information.
- Installation, removal, reinstallation, diagnosis, vehicle downtime or third-party labor costs.
Product Identity, Preparation Records and Customer-Side Condition Evidence
The examples below show the type of hardware identity, packaging condition, visible-condition and customer-side receipt evidence used within the iKAGOO preparation and after-sales support process. They show real evidence types, not a promise that every case follows one identical route.
Submit the Product and Vehicle Evidence
Provide enough information for iKAGOO to identify the exact product, vehicle configuration and reported fault.
- Order number and product name
- Product serial number or identification label
- Vehicle model, production year and steering position
- Clear installation, wiring and connector photographs
- Continuous video showing the reported fault
- Description of when and how the problem began
Complete the Remote Technical Review
iKAGOO may check power, ground, wiring, CAN settings, retained original modules, factory amplifier configuration, camera settings and available firmware before requesting a physical return.
Confirm the Correct Handling Route
The verified cause determines whether the case requires installation correction, configuration support, firmware support, a replacement accessory, a replacement part, return inspection, a replacement product or an applicable refund route.
Receive Written RMA Instructions if a Return Is Required
Do not ship a product back until iKAGOO confirms the return address, approved components, required packaging, RMA reference and shipping method in writing.
Inspection, Repair, Replacement or Resolution
After the complete approved product and all requested components are received and registered, iKAGOO reviews the fault, required testing, parts availability and repair route. A case-specific estimate is then provided where reasonably possible. Complex, rare or discontinued hardware may require additional time.
How an Approved Automotive Electronics Warranty Claim May Be Resolved
The resolution is selected according to the verified fault, product condition, available parts and the most reasonable method of restoring the purchased function.
Configuration or Firmware Support
Wiring, settings, configuration or applicable stabilization firmware may resolve the reported issue without an international return.
Replacement Part or Accessory
A verified limited fault may be resolved with an approved replacement harness, adapter, display component or other supported part.
Warranty Repair
Approved parts and warranty repair labor are covered when a qualifying in-warranty hardware defect is confirmed.
Replacement Product or Applicable Refund
A like-for-like product, nearest suitable equivalent or applicable refund may be used when repair or parts support is not the reasonable solution.
Who Pays Shipping for Warranty, Returns and Compatibility Errors?
Product refunds and shipping-related costs are treated separately. The table below summarizes the normal handling route, subject to mandatory consumer law.
| Case | Return to iKAGOO | Shipment Back to Customer | Main Remedy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Confirmed manufacturing defect reported within the first 30 days | iKAGOO covers reasonable approved standard return shipping. A return label, collection arrangement or approved reimbursement may be used according to written instructions. | iKAGOO covers reasonable standard shipping of the repaired or replacement product back to the customer. | Diagnosis, parts, repair, replacement or another reasonable remedy under the official Warranty Policy. |
| Confirmed manufacturing defect from Day 31 through Month 12 | The customer pays the approved shipping cost to the return address designated by iKAGOO. | iKAGOO covers eligible repair work, replacement parts and reasonable standard reshipping to the customer. | Diagnosis, parts, repair, replacement or another reasonable remedy under the official Warranty Policy. |
| Confirmed iKAGOO compatibility error reported within 7 days | No return required when all published conditions are satisfied and iKAGOO confirms its original matching decision was incorrect. | Not applicable. | The customer may keep or dispose of the product, and the eligible product purchase price is refunded under the Return and Refund Policy. |
| Transit damage or eligible DOA report | Follow the written Transit Damage Guarantee or DOA instructions. Do not return the product without approval. | Determined by the approved reshipment, replacement or refund route. | Evidence review, replacement parts, reshipment, replacement or refund where approved. |
| No fault found or non-warranty cause | The customer may be responsible for inbound shipping and any disclosed diagnostic service approved in advance. | The customer may be responsible for reshipping when no eligible warranty fault is found. | Test result, installation correction or optional paid service. No paid repair is performed without approval. |
| Customer-caused installation, modification or physical damage | Customer pays. | Customer pays. | Paid repair, parts or replacement support may be considered when technically and commercially available. |
| Out-of-warranty service | Customer pays. | Customer pays. | Quoted diagnosis, repair, parts, upgrade or replacement support where available. |
Third-party costs: installation, removal, reinstallation, diagnosis, vehicle downtime, customs duties, VAT, local taxes, optional DDP fees and other third-party costs are not normally covered by the limited hardware warranty or a product-price refund.
Warranty, Transit Damage and Standard Returns Are Not the Same
Clear separation prevents a shipping-damage claim from being treated like an installation problem and prevents a change-of-mind return from being treated like a manufacturing defect.
12-Month Hardware Warranty
Used for verified manufacturing or hardware faults that arise under correct installation and normal intended use.
Transit Damage and Eligible DOA
Visible courier damage and eligible arrival-condition problems should be reported within 48 hours with a continuous unboxing video, packaging photographs and serial-number evidence.
Returns, Refunds and Compatibility Errors
Change-of-mind returns, customer-information errors and the special 7-day iKAGOO compatibility-error protection follow the published Return and Refund Policy.
Technical Review Before International Return
iKAGOO will not request an international return before completing reasonable wiring, configuration, product and evidence review.
Written Return Address and RMA Instructions
iKAGOO will not ask the customer to guess the correct return location or rely on an old parcel label.
Transit Damage Is Not Treated as Installation Error
Visible courier damage is reviewed under the Transit Damage Guarantee when it is reported with the required evidence.
No Return When iKAGOO Confirms Its Own Compatibility Error
Under the published 7-day protection, eligible customers do not have to pay to return a product internationally when iKAGOO confirms that its original matching decision was wrong and no reasonable solution remains.
No Unverified Replacement Promise
A replacement or refund is confirmed only after iKAGOO reviews the product identity, vehicle information, installation evidence and actual cause of the reported issue.
1-Year Warranty for Automotive Electronics FAQ
These answers summarize the main iKAGOO warranty, compatibility-error, shipping-cost and RMA rules. Complete terms are governed by the official iKAGOO Warranty Policy.
When does the 12-month warranty period start?
The standard 12-month period begins from the confirmed delivery date shown in the tracking record, unless a different warranty period is stated on the product page or written order confirmation.
What happens if iKAGOO confirmed compatibility but the product cannot be made compatible?
If the customer provided accurate information, reported the issue within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery, cooperated with reasonable troubleshooting, no reasonable solution can resolve the mismatch and iKAGOO confirms that its original compatibility assessment was incorrect, no return is required.
The customer may keep or dispose of the product, and iKAGOO refunds the eligible product purchase price. Original shipping, optional DDP, duties, VAT, taxes, labor and third-party charges are not normally included.
Does the warranty cover third-party installation labor?
No. Installation, removal, reinstallation, vehicle diagnosis, workshop charges, vehicle downtime and other third-party labor costs are not normally covered by the limited hardware warranty.
Do I need approval before returning a product?
Yes. Every physical return requires written iKAGOO approval, the correct return address and RMA instructions. Do not send a product to the original parcel address unless it is confirmed in writing.
Who pays warranty shipping?
For a confirmed manufacturing defect reported within the first 30 calendar days after delivery, iKAGOO covers reasonable approved standard return shipping and standard reshipping. From Day 31 through Month 12, the customer normally pays approved inbound shipping, while iKAGOO covers eligible repair work, parts and standard reshipping. Transit damage, compatibility errors and other special cases follow their applicable policy.
Review the complete conditions in the official iKAGOO Warranty Policy.
What if the product model is discontinued?
iKAGOO may provide repair, available replacement parts, a like-for-like product, the nearest suitable equivalent or another reasonable remedy based on hardware availability and the verified case.
Does third-party firmware remain covered?
No. Unauthorized rooting, third-party firmware, unsupported flashing or unauthorized hardware repair may void coverage when it causes or prevents reliable diagnosis of the reported fault.
How quickly is an approved warranty return processed?
Processing time depends on the fault, vehicle configuration, evidence, required testing, parts availability and repair method. After the complete approved return is received and registered, iKAGOO will provide the next step and an estimated handling time where reasonably possible. Complex, discontinued or rare configurations may require additional time.
What should I do if the parcel arrives damaged?
Report visible transit damage within 48 hours of the carrier delivery timestamp. Keep the carton, internal foam, labels and accessories, and provide a continuous unboxing video, packaging photographs and the product serial number under the Transit Damage Guarantee.
Are original shipping and DDP fees refundable?
Original shipping, optional DDP charges, duties, VAT, taxes, payment-provider costs and other third-party charges are generally separate from a product-price refund and are not normally refundable unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
